Description:

To place the wet or dry wool felt on friction surface under the hammer grooves, friction hammer placed

above a specified weight farmar, with regulation speed reciprocating motion must be friction surface of

the sample schedule and after arrived specified times exercising , observation of damage on the surface

of thespecimen and degree of decolorization

This instrument is applied to leather, textile, tapes, trademarks, cardboard and other materials are

subject to external friction damage and the degree of decolorization .

Applications:

One side of the leather to be tested is rubbed with pieces of reference wool felt under a given pressure

for a given number of forward and backward motions.

The change in colour of the pieces of felt and of the leather are assessed with the grey scales. Any other

visible change in or damage to the surface of the leather is also reported.
